I ran into Ben, Melia's boyfriend, and Ian at the spot on the lighthouse road where you can watch the sunset. We hang out a bit, just like we've done it a hundred times. I tried to get Alida to join, but she was meditating during that time.

Kauai is such a wonderful place. Its very nice to have a simple life and share it with some of the nicest strangers. Actually, the people I run into are simply friends I haven't met yet. Once I say hi to someone and see them somewhere later on, they're always pleased to share a moment.
